HET 120 Multi- level dryer for 120 pcbs, horizontal throughfeed Function:Drying pcbs after coating
Number of heating circuits:2 Loading capacity:120 pcbs (1 pcb per rack) Typical capacity:120 pcbs per hour Min. time of 1 cycle:30 secs. Temperature approx.:90-100 °C Connection load:80 kW Exhaust air:Max. 3,000 m³/h
Size of pcbs Dimensions: min.250 x 350 mm max. 610 x 610 mm Thickness: min.0.4 mm max. 5.0 mm
Dryer: Dimensions: 3 mLength 3.8 m Height 2 m Width In- and outfeed: 1500 mm Total length: 4.5m Panelling: Steel sheet, powder- coated RAL 7035, light- grey Frame: Tubular steel, IC 198 blue painted A)Function:
Freshly coated pcbs are dried in a quick and homogeneous way. One pcb lies on one rack. The rack raises upwards in 30 sec. cycles, is pushed to the outfeed side and then lowers downwards again.
Infeed: The pcbs enter the dryer on transport belts. The rack raises above the transport (belt) level and takes one pcb. The transport belts are folded down. They return as soon as the next pcb will enter.
Outfeed: The rack drives below the transport (belt) level. The dried pcb is left on the belts and can leave the dryer. The outfeed belts are folded down so far, to allow the emptied rack to be pushed back to the infeed. They return as soon as the next pcbs have to be fed out.
The pcb’s pass one evaporation zone, three heating circuits and one cooling zone. The temperature of each heating circuit can be controlled separately. The typical drying temperature of 90-100°C has been achieved after the first heating circuit. It is hold in the second and third circuit. Before leaving the dryer, pcb’s are cooled down to approx. 30°C.
B)Temperature profile:
The profile depends fundamentally on the ink. The following values, based on experiences, are typical: Evaporation: 15 min. Heat up: 5 min. Hold on: 25 min. Cool down: 15 min. __________________________ Total time: 60 min
C)Advantages:
• No subject to the pcb-size • Reproducible temperature distribution on the panel • Careful transport • Control of temperature for each heating circuit • No buckling or distortions of pcbs • Connection of lines possible • Visualization of process • Room saving because of compact design
D)Options/ Alternatives:
Vertical dryer VDH 144-352 IR-Dryer Grip-dryer for very thin pcbs
