Cross Transport Modules for pcbs
The cross-transport module diverts pcbs from a line and transports them to the right or to the left side.
There are three models for this basic function: XT 100, XTP 200, US 1/90°
Type XT 100 The transport direction is changed by 90° -pcbs leave the line and enter a new line for operation. Below the transport belts are the transport rollers. After the choice of the requested direction the transport rollers are raised through the transport belts and take the pcbs from the belt to bring them into the right or left direction. After pcbs have left, the rollers return to their initial position. Though pcbs are removed from the line. However the position of the pcb on the belt is changed, means the former leading edge is no longer in front in the new direction.
Type XTP 200 This model has the same diverting function + buffering and centering function.
Buffering: Temporary take-off of max. 15 pcbs from the line and interim storage. Fork type metal carriers take the pcbs from the transport level and lift them upwards. On demand the buffered pcbs are refed to the line working as LiFo: last in first out'.
Centering: An automatic pcb measurement allows the gentle centering of the pcbs. Differing sizes are identified on this point and adjusted, if necessary.
Type US 1/90° This model is a diverter as well, but transports the pcbs by a swivel carrier. The pcbs are turned by this carrier in the new direction. After beeing turned the leading edge of pcb is still in front.
The swivel carrier is underneath the transport belts. If the pcb should be turned to the right or to the left side, the swivel carrier raises through the transport belts, section 1, and takes the pcb. Now the pcb lies on the metal bars of the swivel carrier above the transport level. The carrier turns the pcb, lowers it and put it down on the transport belt, section 2.
Now the pcb runs in the new direction. The swivel carrier remains beneath the transport level and returns to its initial position.
